We care about having goals and a vision for our company which go beyond profit. Social responsibility has been high on our agenda since our inception. We encourage our people, our clients, our candidates and our competitors to get fully involved with our fundraising initiatives, while ensuring we are also contributing as a company.
We take pride in organising fundraising activities like company sports day, pub quizzes, mountain treks, skydiving or internal fundraising activities.
Every year, our consultants nominate a charity and support it through the year by holding a number of fundraising events. This year our charity is Donate4Refugees.
We are experiencing a unique worldwide crisis. The lives of millions of people have been torn apart, which has been completely out of their control. Everything they have ever known, their home and possessions, gone. Therefore, our response must be unique.
A refugee can be a child, be a mother, a father, a grandparent, a sister or a brother and their needs are essential items we take for granted on a daily basis food, clean water, warm clothes, medical supplies, shoes, phone credit and education.
Donate4Refugees is a pioneering and innovative charity model, enabling donations to reach the charities, and in turn the people who really need them. Charities come forward with campaigns for donations for what they really need to make a difference (e.g. food, blankets, medical supplies) and once approved they join the queue to receive the funds as soon as they become available.
Some examples of campaigns:
· Basic food items as well as nutrients to ensure people do not suffer further malnourishment
· Warm clothes and shoes for winter
· Mobile phone credit to enable contact when refugees are moved on
The work these smaller charities do is invaluable and non-exclusive. They rely on donations to enable them to react quickly, be at the forefront and really make a difference. However, being such small charities spending all their time at the frontline, managing where the donations come from and how the money should be spent could be an issue, however, it is one that Donate4Refugees can solve.
