To celebrate the efforts of those at the forefront of enhancing gender diversity on FTSE 350 boards and those building the pipeline of future talent in the boardrooms of British business, Investigo is pleased to be attending an evening drinks reception by the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills at the Royal Academy of Arts on 29th September.
As members of the executive search community Louise Marcroft, Director and Hayley Downing, Associate Director from Investigo will join senior guests from the FTSE 350 and others interested in the Women on Boards agenda as they hear from the Rt. Hon. Dr Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation & Skills.
Figures released in March show that women now account for 20.7% of board positions in the FTSE 100 – up from 12.5% in 2011 and 17.3% in 2013.
“These figures show that businesses are getting the right mix of talent around their boardroom table and understand the importance of this. Ninety eight of the FTSE100 boards are now made up of at least 1 woman and we need fewer than 50 new women appointments to FTSE100 boards to reach our target of 25% of women on all FTSE100 boards in the next year. This is a huge improvement from where we started just 3 years ago,” said Dr. Cable.
Sponsored by Anglo American plc, it promises to be an enjoyable evening, marking another milestone event on the journey to increase gender diversity in British boardrooms.
