Last Thursday saw us hold the annual Investigo Charity Quiz night at the Fable Bar in Holborn in support of our chosen charity, Harrisons Fund. With An incredible amount of over £7,500 was raised on the night which added to the funds already raised by Investigo has brought our total so far to an amazing £24,500.
Harrison’s Fund aims to provide as much money as possible for researchers who are working hard to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Alex Smith, Harrisons Dad and founder of Harrison’s Fund, delivered a heart warming speech which detailed the devastating impact on their lives of having their eldest son diagnosed with this serious disease, and what donations will be doing to help Harrison and other children around the world with Duchenne lead the lives of strong young men.
Around 150 clients joined us from companies including Sony, Arcadia, Metro Bank, Hansteen, CBRE, AIG, Lloyds Banking Group, Barclays and more. All dug deep for the great raffle and auction prizes which included a Fortnum Mason Hamper, iPad Mini, Apple TV, tickets for the British Grand Prix, two tickets to see Aerosmith at the Calling Festival in June and more. AIG Insurance took home the trophy, obligatory bragging rights and some well deserved champagne as the winners of the quiz.
Anthony Ratcliff of Investigo and host of the night said, ‘the quiz night was an incredible success. It was great to see so many people come to support such a great cause that is very close to our hearts. We all had a wonderful night and hope you all enjoyed the evening. Thank you for your donations and we hope to see you again next year.’
Thank you to all those who attended the evening and for your generous donations. A special thank you to our £100 winner who kindly donated his win to Harrison’s fund. Through your generosity, the money raised will help researchers become that one step closer to curing Duchenne, saving millions of lives around the globe. Alex Smith hopes that Harrison’s fund will be able to eradicate the disease completely – he quotes, ‘my son will either be the last to die or the first to survive’. With your donations, we can help make this a possibility.
Congratulations to the winners of the quiz, raffle and auction prizes. We hope you enjoyed your time and we look forward to seeing you next year!
