This year’s Investigo Annual Summer Conference took place on the 8th July at the Luton Hoo’s five star Golf and Spa Hotel. With more than 150 attendees from across Investigo’s London and Regional offices, the event marked our largest conference to date.

The conference kicked off with a year-end presentation reflecting on the full financial year and then looking forward to the next 12 months, and beyond. CEO, Gary Watson and Executive Director, Nick Baxter presented giving insight into Investigo’s 2021 mission, outlining the opportunities within the business being created over the next 5 years in line with the projected growth of the business.

Standout performances of top performing individuals and teams were celebrated with an awards ceremony, whilst the support team were highly commended as the ‘unsung heroes’ of the business.

The morning concluded with Lee Warren, a professional speaker, coach and seminar leader, who helps business leaders and their teams use the techniques of corporate persuasion to get results. His session ‘How to make anyone do anything…well almost,’ looked at a number of real-life situations that recruitment consultants are likely to encounter and how they can get the best out of it, from negotiating to selling in roles.

After an excellent BBQ lunch, the team-building fun in the sunshine began. Hosted by Spy Games, the teams had to tackle a variety of challenges and tasks ranging from pistol draw to laser challenge to minefield breach and radiation. The games provided an afternoon of entertaining and interactive challenges, which tested everyone’s ability to plan, delegate, communicate and work in a team.

The evening was a black tie affair, with a 3-course dinner, casino and 10-piece funk band. The dance floor was full throughout the evening. The feedback of the day from all who attended has been overwhelming, confirming this was our best annual get together to date.
