THE ROLE:

 

Financial Controller

Package £70k + Shares Scheme + Pension + Flexible working

Based: Waterloo, London

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUMMARY

  • Based at our offices in Waterloo, London
  • Reports to the CFO (Chief Finance Officer)
  • Member of the Senior Management Team
  • Initially focused on change management program
  • Will assume responsibility for all aspect of the Group’s accounting
  • CHANGE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
  • Upgrade of the Group’s accounting systems including regional and client profitability information.
  • Review / improvement / automation of the department processes and policies.
  • Automation of the payroll systems, consideration to bringing payroll “in house”.
  • Travel expenses process and interface with finance systems.
  • Review and improvement of Management Accounts and establishing of department KPI’s.
  • Implementing “Authority Levels” into the financial processes.
  • Structuring of finance roles and responsibility.
  • Automation of consolidation process.
  • Review and improvement of subsidiary accounting.

ONGOING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for all aspects of the Group accounting.
  • Managing a team currently of 3 heads plus overall responsibility for subsidiary finance teams.
  • Relationship with banks re: borrowing and day to day transactions and covenant reporting.
  • Audit and tax relationship.
  • All aspects of the tax position of Group.
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts.
  • Maintenance of appropriate authorisation for all transactions.
  • Budget holder for HO salary and overtime costs.
  • Budget holder for HO costs.
  • Relationship with BGF (P/E backers) and their reporting requirements.
  • Deputising for the CFO if required.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Prior Financial Controller experience
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Ability to deal with Projects and change management
  • Ability to deal with non Finance staff
  • Experience in healthcare would be ideal but non essential
