Job description

Investigo are recruiting a Part Time Accounts Assistant (25 hour week) for an SME client based in Milton Keynes on a 4 to 6 month contract.

In the position of Part Time Accounts Assistant Milton Keynes you will provide accounting and administrative support to the Finance department to ensure high levels of accuracy, quality and integrity in the recording of financial data; and to assist in the production of robust and timely financial information to stakeholders. Key duties:

  • Accurate processing of invoices in the SAP system; coding of invoices to general ledger and the co-ordination of the authorisation and booking of those invoices
  • Responsibility for the timely payment of suppliers via BACS and electronic transfer
  • Management of the departmental email inbox responding to supplier and internal accounts payable queries
  • Responding to supplier and internal accounts payable queries via phone
  • Production of weekly accounts payable reports to ensure the timely authorisation of invoices due or overdue for payment
  • Raising of manual invoices and purchase orders
  • Reviewing and approving employee expense claims
  • Reviewing supplier master data to ensure that all information held is accurate and up to date
  • Production of month end supplier statement reconciliations and aged creditors review and following up on any issues to ensure a timely resolution
  • Production of the weekly foreign exchange summary to Senior Management
  • To provide support and assistance to the Finance department with ad-hoc requests as directed

The profile

The successful candidate will need to have previous purchase ledger/ accounts payable experience from start to finish

Attention to detail and able to take full ownership of invoice queries

Ability to adhere to tight month end deadlines

Strong communication skills

The Salary

£13 to £14 per hour (4 to 6 month contract)
