Business Analyst / Actuarial / TOM / London Market / £500 / Insurance experience REQUIRED

Our client a London Market Insurer has a requirement for a Business Analyst with Actuarial and TOM project experience within another insurer to join their London based team.

This role works as part of a project team to deliver business change projects. They carry out requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation tasks to ensure that the project deliverable is the ideal solution for the business.
Required Skills and Experience:

  • London Market change experience with knowledge of business analysis methodologies
  • Ability to work independently as well as harmoniously in teams
  • Flexible and pragmatic
  • Ability to work to deadlines and to meet standards
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • BPMN or similar business process modelling skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills


Highly Desirable:

  • Awareness of at least one of the following actuarial processes such as A vs E, Baseline, SII, Technical provision data, actuarial central estimate
  • Experience helping designing / enhancing a Target Operating Model, with knowledge of how reserving should be run efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to perform a Current state assessment - performance assessment, RACI matrix, current capabilities, process flows.
  • Ability to specify a Future State - identify improvements to shorten the overall lead time, develop options for management attention and make recommendations based on feasibility (preferred options)
  • Ability to work with the programme manager and existing team to transform (planning, prioritisation, roadmap)
  • Have previously worked in an actuarial team or on an actuarial project
  • Experience of working on an Agile project - creating user stories, running stand ups, estimating, and retrospectives, curating backlogs etc.
  • Experience of supporting and navigating through an RFI/RFP processes
