AP/AR Manager

Head of Accounts Payable & Receivables

Based in Stevenage

Salary £45,000 - £50,000

Due to growth and expansion into several different countries, this leading distribution business require an individual to Head up the Accounts Payable & Receivables function.

The role will suit someone who enjoys managing and leading a team whilst improving efficiencies and processes within both functions.

It requires someone who can take a "birds' eye" view of the department and identify where there may be flaws in processes' and implement changes.

Alongside this you will need to be hands on particularly with some of the key accounts within accounts receivable

Key Duties

• Management and development of the AP team, currently 6 employees including a Supervisor, and the AR team, currently 3 employees
• Oversee the timely processing of all AP / AR transactions in line with our month end deadlines; invoices, credits, proformas, expenses, company credit cards, petty cash, receipts and payments, in multiple currencies (GBP, EUR, USD, AUD)
• Implement a monthly supplier statement reconciliation process
• Excellent knowledge of stock movement through the AP and AR ledgers, ensuring GRNIs are cleansed on a regular basis
• Cashflow Management of AP Bi-Weekly Payment Runs
• Ensure monthly AR cash collection targets are achieved
• Reduce overdue AR and AP balances
• Implement and document AP and AR processes
• Regular cleanse of AP and AR ledgers using Business Intelligence (BI) platform
• Liaise with entities in USA, Australia & Germany on AP / AR related matters
• Responsible for employee annual performance reviews
• A key person in all company audits: Yearend Financial Audit, Quarterly Invoice Finance Audit & Bi Annual Stock Audit
