Accounts Receivable Manager

£35,000

Welwyn Garden City

An immediate requirement for an Accounts Receivable Manager has arisen for a large and well-formed business based in Welwyn Garden City. The role will start as a fixed term contract but has a strong possibility of going permanent.

The role will be managing a small and experienced team and have a strong emphasis on driving process improvement. The team bill circa 2500 invoices a week to the respected customers.

Key Duties

  • Day to day management and development of the Accounts Receivable Team, ensuring that all sales invoices are correctly raised in accordance with current client commercial agreements and in a timely manner.
  • To ensure that the Accounts Receivable Team work to strict deadlines to support the preparation of the Management accounts.
  • To be accountable for the maintenance of the Debtors Ledgers, ensuring that the client invoicing details are always correct and that the AR Team respond to client queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • To ensure that the Accounts Receivable Team have a customer focused approach to dealing with internal and external parties.
  • To provide support to the Credit Controller, ensuring that invoices are paid within agreed terms and receipts are accurately recorded.
  • To assist the Credit Controller in the production of the monthly Credit Control report, providing explanations for any overdue debt.
  • To produce and reconcile the monthly Aged Debtors reports, ensuring that any variances are investigated and resolved.
  • Carry out continuous review of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost effective operations. To make recommendations and implement change.
  • To develop new processes to accurately record revenue as new products and revenue streams are introduced.
  • Working with other departments to ensure accurate reporting of revenue within the business.
  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required assisting finance and other departments.
