Assistant Accountant- 12 Month FTC

Investigo are recruiting an Assistant Accountant on a 12 month contract for a client based in Milton Keynes.

In the position of Assistant Accountant 12 Month FTC Milton Keynes you will report to the Financial Controller supporting month end controls to include:

• Production of weekly P&L by extracting data from various operational software, and reporting variances between actual weekly data, budget and forecast figures.
• Providing a point of contact for Operations and Credit Control to reduce the outstanding balance on aged debt, unrecognised revenue and costs, and aged revenue.
• Providing intercompany trade data and resolving queries for month-end group reporting.
• Calculating 'Profit Loss Share' on Air and Ocean freight and resolving queries with Headquarters.
• Production of monthly management accounts, analysing cost/revenue deferment and accruals.
• Assisting in budgeting and forecasting procedures and resolving queries with Business Intelligence team.

The candidate

The successful candidate will need to have previous nominal ledger experience up to trial balance

Attention to detail and ability to adhere to tight month end close

Good level of excel skills to include Pivot tables/ lookups

Strong communicator

The Salary

£26,000 to £29,000 basic
