Assistant Accountant

Investigo Finance & Accounting are exclusively partnering with a Financial Services client based in Milton Keynes who are looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant.

In the position of Assistant Accountant Milton Keynes Reporting to a Senior Fund Accountant assisting with all aspects of the fund accounting for a number of Private Equity close ended funds.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for own allocated workload, including preparation of quarterly Private Equity Limited Partnership accounts to agreed internal deadlines and to a standard that is suitable for review
• Knowledge of designated clients including understanding the key points of their Limited Partnership Agreements
• Prepare Fund accounting report including calculation of IRRS, NAV, Cashflows and update the valuations and portfolio for clients for their required deadline.
• Calculate, prepare and send out Drawdown and Distribution notices in accordance with agreed deadlines
• Communicating effectively with the fund managers, external auditors or investors on required information
• Ensure all client queries are responded to in an appropriate and timely manner
• Assist in the Annual audit process for designated Private Equity Funds

Person Specification

The successful candidate will need to be studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (early stages of either ACCA or CIMA)

Intermediate Excel skills (to include Pivot tables)

Experience of providing financial information for review

Ability to manage own work load adhering to tight month end deadlines

Advantage of previous accounting software such as Sage/ Sun or Xero

Salary

£25,000 to £27,000, Fully study package, 25 days holiday and performance related bonus
