Assistant Financial Accountant

Investigo are exclusively recruiting an Assistant Financial Accountant for a client based in Milton Keynes.

In the position of Assistant Financial Accountant Milton Keynes you will report to the Company Accountant supporting all elements of financial accounting inline with company standards. Other key duties to include:

• monthly processing of payroll for both UK and Ireland staff
• completion of any related tasks (monthly & annual)
• orchestrate weekly/monthly meetings that ensure the integrity of the rolling cashflow forecast
• reporting all transactions accordingly in line with compliance and tax jurisdictions
• monthly reconciliations & posting of any adhoc payments/receipts
• responsible for the approval of new customers and the assignment of credit limits
• delivery of month end requirements on time and quality. including accruals and prepayments, inter-company reconciliations and GR/IR
• preparation of supporting documentation and overviews to support group reporting and the annual statutory audit
• to ensure the document retention policy is adhered to for all financial documents
• challenge stakeholders to maximise effectiveness of filing structure
• provide cover to the financial accountant and support

The Profile

The successful candidate will need to be either AAT Qualified or early stages of ACCA/ CIMA/ACA

Ideally previous SAP systems experience

Understanding of Banking software

Strong level of Excel skills

Ability to adhere to tight month end deadlines and work under own initiative and collectively as part of a team

The Salary

£31,000 to £34,000 plus full study package and company bonus scheme up to £7k
