Job description


My client is seeking an Associate to join their market leading team in Central London to assist undertaking all aspects of valuation and advisory work for some of the highest profile and interesting development projects throughout the UK.

The role includes advising on a mix of public and private sector clients on development projects. This will range from you helping clients deliver housing and key infrastructure to unlocking new income streams through development and asset management.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist in the successful implementation and delivery of all aspects of valuation and advisory consultancy, working in conjunction with Partners in the business.
  • Constructing and interpreting complex development appraisals and financial models
  • Provide informed, market facing and independent advice on all property types throughout the UK.
  • Deliver projects from inception to completion with minimum supervision to meet the objectives in accordance with company policies and management systems.
  • To positively contribute to the department's business plan and to assist in achieving its objectives.
  • Collaboration with other service lines to maintain market knowledge and cross sell opportunities.
  • Helping manage graduate and newly qualified surveyors to deliver against specific project and client objectives.
  • Preparing formal reports and valuations supporting development agency strategy



About you

  • MRICS qualified and RICS Registered Valuer
  • Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met
  • A keen interest in development and making a difference
  • A head for figures and ability to prepare accurate development appraisals (Argus and Excel)
  • Pro-active and enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team
  • Confident and assertive where required
  • Ability to take the initiative and think strategically about projects



Skills Required

  • Knowledge of Argus Investor and Developer essential
  • Good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook)
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Accurate and exceptional attention to detail
  • Be able to build, develop and maintain existing business and client relationships
  • Able to plan and manage workload efficiently
