Associate Director, Global Publications Lead

Investigo is recruiting a Publications Associate Director for a Global Pharmaceutical Company specialising in Oncology & Innovative Cell Therapy, based in the Los Angeles area.
The Associate Director will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the future of the business and the strategic publications plans. Working in a small team, you will be required to lead publications teams independently and will have done so previously. The role will require you to partner with stakeholders across internal and external organisations, leading the strategy and implementation of vital publication tactics including congress abstracts, posters, presentations and manuscripts.
Key responsibilities include;

• Analyze, develop and implement key publications tactics, become a subject matter expert within the Cell Therapy area.
• Coordinate with internal and external writers to ensure the timeliness of each publication submission.
• Guide the publications team including writers, editors, vendors and budgets.
• Build and maintain effective partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders and Healthcare Professionals.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirement will be Pharm D, MD, PhD.
• Experience within Medical Affairs & Publications required, Client-side preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in industry.
• Experience writing and editing scientific manuscripts, posters and abstracts.
• Working understanding of Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Translational Research, Legal, Biometrics, and Regulatory functions.
• Pre- and post-launch experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team and to lead decision making discussions.
• Experience in hematology/oncology or related therapeutic area would be preferable.
• Up to 20% travel.
