BI & Data Manager - Insurance Underwriting

My client, an independently owned underwriting Insurance firm, are looking to hire a new BI / Data Manager to head up the data and reporting function across the business. Reporting directly into the COO, you will be responsible for owning and developing the SQL DWH, supporting the wider business with ad hoc data and information, and driving the use of Power BI across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a smaller, integrated Insurance business with genuinely exciting plans over the coming years. You will form part of the core IT leadership function and have the lead in driving data strategy and road maps across the business.

Core skills:

- Full stack SQL DWH - SSIS, SSRS, SSAS; some .NET

- Excel and Power BI for reporting

- kimball / Snowflake Schemas

- Insurance experience is essential - as much exposure to underwriting and/or the Lloyds of London agencies is highly desirable.

This is a permanent position but my client will consider a contract to perm model or even an FTC. My client are keen to get someone started in June although are prepared to push into July if required.
