London Market Insurance - Business Analyst - 12-month Contract - £500 per day

Main Purpose:

Central Services (part of the wider Operations function reporting to the Group COO) is undergoing a period of remediation and transformation as part of a programme of activity that commenced in Q1 2019. This is led by the Head of Operations from a remediation perspective and the Change team from a transformation standpoint. Reporting to the Head of Operations in Central Services (with a functional line in to the Head of Change for change governance and oversight purposes) this exciting and challenging role is focused on conducting detailed 'as is' process analysis across the Central Services teams (which include as examples Underwriting Support and Credit Control). In turn it centres on capturing detailed requirements for future state process re-design working with the Central Services management team to remediate and optimise standard operating procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

Working closely with a number of stakeholders across the business the Business Analyst will be responsible for;

  • Documenting 'as-is' processes i.e. dataflow diagrams, flowcharts
  • Documenting 'to-be' processes i.e. dataflow diagrams, flowcharts
  • Analysing business requirements in relation to future state processes.
  • Challenging the business in regard to future state recommendations, encouraging lateral thinking in relation to solution design.
  • Supporting with the production of project plans to ensure that detailed business requirements are captured and delivered.
  • Supporting with the development of revised procedure documentation to reflect future state.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and rigour of all analysis and associated documentation.


Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years' Business Analyst work experience
  • London Market experience - at least two years (mandatory).
  • Evidenced ability to deliver results to robust timelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels with confidence.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
