Commercial Finance Business Partner - UK Challenger Bank - London - £60,000 to £70,000

Are you a commercially savvy business partner? Are you someone who enjoys analysing trends and influencing the decision makers in a business?

This UK based retail banking business is currently hiring for a Finance Business Partner to deliver commercial insight in areas such as pricing, profitability and competitor analysis.

Sitting in the FP&A function, you will nurture close relationships with non-finance stakeholders across the Group to support in strategic decision making. A supportive team, who look to develop people internally and provide broad finance roles with plenty of variety.

Key Responsibilities - Finance Business Partner

  • Production of the Bank's budgets and forecasts looking at both revenue and costs
  • Input to pricing tools and modelling on changes in the regulatory landscape
  • Produce financial models on key projects within the bank and the delivery of the bank's strategy
  • Look at the competitor landscape and provide analysis on competitors and the wider market
  • Build close working relationships with non-finance teams
  • Maintain and support a robust overall risk and governance framework
  • Communicate and provide reporting to senior teams and influence at ExCO level.
  • Production of management reporting and MI to ExCo and Board level.

As a Finance Business Partner you will be someone who is comfortable in providing accurate and insightful financial analysis, with an ability to identify key trends and explain commercial issues beyond the numbers. An understand of pricing, and key factors that influence pricing will be important as well as an ability to understand how this changes across products within the bank.

Knowledge of banking regulations would be an advantage, understanding the implications and reporting requirements on new products and changes in the regulatory landscape.

You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified, with previous experience in either an FP&A, Business Partnering or BI role within a Bank. A demonstrable track record of being able to challenge and influence non-finance colleagues will be important, as well as an understanding of how cost and revenue impacts the balance sheet of a financial services business.
