Copy Supervisor

A large healthcare advertising agency in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Copy Supervisor to join an exciting launch team. This person will be responsible for generating ideas and running the day to day of the brand through to the finished product. This person will also supervise junior writers.

Responsibilities

• Participate in brainstorming team meetings
• Participate in strategic and tactical meetings with client and account management teams to develop effective campaigns
• Full understanding of client's marketplace and current marketing environment
• Able to stay within budget requirements or go through appropriate channels when not within
• Strong attention to detail; reviewing and proofreading all materials
• Client-facing presence
• Must be a team player who is also comfortable working independently
• Well organized and efficient
• Good time management and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Supervise and mentor junior copy team members
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
• Participate in new business presentations
• Establish rapport with client and present ideas professionally and effectively

Requirements

• 4+ years of healthcare advertising agency experience
• BA degree (Advertising, Communications, English, Biology, Neurology, Oncology and Genetics or related field preferred)
• A proven track record of creative ability and judgement, successful client contact experience, the ability to work collaboratively with account management, excellent presentation skills, successful experience in managing creative teams and multiple accounts, and the commitment to go the extra mile in time and effort to produce the very best work
