Credit Controller

Investigo have partnered with a successful international business based in Guildford who are looking for a credit controller to join their expanding team.

Role and responsibilities

• Managing and chasing outstanding debt from a multi-currency ledger
• Dealing with internal queries about payments
• Identify and report potential bad debt
• Negotiating repayment plans and ensuring the prompt collection of cash, following the companies procedures and keeping in line with existing terms
• Producing regular reports and reconciling key accounts
• Prioritise and manage workload whilst ensuring a high level of customer service and identify accounts that will require special attention
• Assisting with process improvement to reduce the number of queries
• Working with colleagues and external customers to maintain and build strong working relationships
• Ad-hoc support to the wider finance team

Attributes and experience

• Experience in an accounting role is preferred but not essential
• Experience working with multiple currencies is preferred but not essential
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal with internal and external customers
• Strong proficiency of excel and excellent numerical skills
• Good negotiation skills with strong customer service attitude
• Target driven and highly motivated
• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
• A-level educated
