Programme Overview
Our client has undertaken a major transformation to move from a federated set of businesses to a new all-encompassing structure over the last five years. There are a number of programs and initiatives underway to ensure their infrastructure, data and systems can support this new structure.
Role Description:
- Designs, implements and maintains all functions of database system, including access, methods and time, device allocations, performance monitoring and tuning, validation checks, organization, security, documentation, and statistical methodology.
- Analyses current business practices, processes and procedures, and identifies future business opportunities for leveraging data storage and retrieval system capabilities.
- Monitors overall standards and procedures and assists in the integration of various systems through the database system.
- Consults with users, determines applications development requirements, and provides recommendations on database establishment and utilization.
Minimum Required Skills:
- We are looking for a data analyst to compare product data between multiple systems highlighting discrepancies.
- Once found the analyst will work with business and technology teams to determine the correct values and have the relevant system(s) updated.
- For each discrepancy scenario the analyst will work with technology teams to determine the root cause and where ongoing, propose practical ideas on how to resolve or minimize it's occurrence.
Minimum Education Requirement:
- Degree educated in computer science or equivalent
- T-SQL / PL-SQL
- Excel/Google sheets (Vlookup / Pivot Tables)
- Experience with large amounts of data analysis
- Experience with system integrations
- Experience in determining root cause(s)
