Data Centre Site Lead - Exeter

To manage team of 7 shift based staff who complete a multitude of roles with the data center and over the wider global operation.

Technical awareness of al IT platforms is required. This is a managerial role reporting into the Data Centre based in alternate site.

  • Those with leading experience of Infrastructure, Servers, Hosting, Applications, Virtualisation, Storage projects extremely desired
  • Oversees all shift activities, including approving Time & Attendance, Vacation, Sick and Performance Reviews for direct reports. Makes decisions for the shift/group as required.
  • Provides continuous and consistent management reporting on the status of issues, actions, and resolutions.
  • Develops, monitors, and identifies opportunities to improve process, procedures, and controls to enhance quality, service, and deliverables.
  • Reviews and reports on incident trending and top 10 incidents for remediation. Reviews and reports on incident trending and top 10 incidents for remediation.
  • Manages ticketing queues for regular up-dates on a daily basis.
  • Manages and reports on severity incident calls and understand operations processes and be able to perform analysis to ensure proper metrics are met; integrates information to develop employee's technical ability.
  • Provides and manages support for all systems and applications hosted in the Global Data Centres. Ensures all systems are managed and that all support services meet defined business service levels.
  • Maintains compliance to avoid risks of system outages or compromised data.
  • Manages multiple operational and infrastructure related projects for related shift/team.
  • Monitor assigned incidents and changes, tracks compliance with service management SLA's and provisioning SLA's. Monitors ticketing queues for regular up-dates on a daily basis.
  • All work is all undertaken in an ITIL based environment and is operated in a strictly controlled manner via a change and incident management system.
