The Migration Business Lead will be key to the success of the data migration between the current system and the equivalent Veeva Vault capability. The Migration business lead works with the functional data owners to identify the data migration needs and overall migration strategy (including impact on BAU activities business during the migration process). He/she also works with the Migration Technical Lead to identify data mapping requirements, rules (if applicable) and related verifications after migration.
Responsibilities include the following:

• Liaise with different functions to identify and confirm the migration scope
• Manage migration stakeholders
• Identify and mitigate migration risks
• Define the business migration milestones and overall strategy
• Define migration prerequisites, assumptions and dependencies
• Support the validation/qualification of the migration process
• Define data integrity verifications (if applicable)
• Define error handling
• Coordinate migration efforts such as data mapping, rules definitions and testing
• Coordinate the migration execution
• Define and coordinate the migration business sign-off
• If applicable, support the documentation of related change controls

Deliverables include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Review of the Migration protocol
• Migration risks assessment
• Migration activities planning / deployment plan
• Review of data mapping
• Other related migration qualification deliverables (e.g. Migration scripts, Migration Summary report)
