Finance Analyst

A fantastic new permanent opportunity for a full time Financial Analyst based in Central London, working for a high-growth tech/infrastructure business.

Must be studying ACCA or CIMA and have prior management accounting or financial analysis experience.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Identify improvements to the current reporting system and work closely with the FP&A Manager, Finance Transformation Manager and the wider business to effect change
• Support the commercial finance forecast activities for each quarter
• Continue to drive improvement in financial processes, business analysis and reporting
• Provide financial support to the Finance Business Partners to include month-end reports, ad-hoc reports as requested, and support for additional ad-hoc project work
• Review Contract Amendments and ensure Finance Models and Finance Schedules are updated correctly by Service Provider teams
• Update finance system with the months actuals
• Update financial forecasting system with the most up to date information for contractual information (e.g. indexation, new charges and payment milestone certificates).
• Raise PO's and goods reciting for all recurring spend and financing
• Review PO's raised by the business. Ensure correct vendor, WBS and General Ledger Account
• Substantiation of financial information in the financial system - e.g. Dates (milestone achieved, invoice start, invoice end, finance charges, operating charges, asset/liability long-term and short-term).
• Preparation of monthly journals for project accruals, milestone recognition and finance charges
• Reconcile the monthly components of SAP actuals and BPC.
• Support the FP&A Manager in the production of the monthly reporting pack for senior management
• Build relationships with the external suppliers, attend monthly meetings and ensure our payables are aligned to their receivables
• Other ad hoc requirements as required

Profile

• Experience working in a management accounting or financial analysis role.
• Part-qualified studying CIMA/ACCA.
• Excel - minimum pivot tables & v-look ups
• Some Business Partnering is a plus
• Ability to think on your feet work proactively
