Finance Analyst

Based in Cheshunt

Up to 35K depending on experience

Working as part of a small finance team, you will be responsible for month end activity and building internal & external stakeholders.

The business has a real family feel about it, and present good opportunities for this individual to progress.

Key Duties

  • Develop and maintain key relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Work with departmental heads to build and maintain detailed budgets and forecasts for the department
  • Work with internal finance teams to prepare departmental monthly result and prepare analysis versus budget
  • Take responsibility for monthly overhead reviews with departmental budget holders providing insight and recommendations
  • Preparation of journal postings as required
  • Review and analysis of departmental budgets against actuals
  • Review and analysis of monthly financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
  • Assist with year-end statutory audit
  • Preparation and submission of Group VAT Returns
  • Administration and maintenance of our Consolidation and Financial Reporting tool
  • Weekly cashflow forecasting for the Group cost centre and monitoring of cash requirements across the wider business
  • Preparation of weekly flash P&L report for submission to parent Company
  • Proactively monitor performance against finance KPIs and report against these requirements
  • Prepare updates, analysis and insight for regular board and executive meetings
  • Quarterly cashflow reporting and budget reforecasts
  • Regulatory reporting including VAT returns, corporation tax and statutory accounts
  • Ad-hoc activities and contribution towards continuous improvement initiatives and other projects
