Job description

Investigo are currently looking for a Finance Analyst to work for a Real Estate advisory for a FTC in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Role: Finance Analyst

Duration: 12 month fixed term contract

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the half yearly IAS 37 Provisions process to calculate provisions figures to feed into RBS Finance Team and thin into the RBS Statutory accounts
  • Take the lead role in the calculation of property exit costs to feed into the RBS strategy team to feed into business cases and drive strategic decisions
  • Ad hoc strategic analysis and business case production for a number of clients
  • As a senior member of the Corporate Solutions Financial Strategy and Data Analytics team playing a key role in improving the quality of data and reporting and supporting junior colleagues

Main Duties:

  • Work with BI Team to ensure provisioning model is fit for purpose for each half yearly cycle
  • Drive continual improvement of provisions modelling whilst managing the change risk
  • Lead the process to get assumptions from agents to feed into provisions and exit cost models escalating any issues or changes in assumptions where challenge may be needed
  • Ensure outputs of provisions model and exit costs carefully understood and communicated to the client in a clear, concise and timely fashion
  • Provide overview of monthly disposals reporting to ensure quality of outputs and leading client workshops to review provision assumptions and outputs
  • Supporting and/or leading on ad hoc financial analysis for RBS and other clients
  • Providing general support for RBS transition to IFRS 16

Desired Knowledge/Skills:

  • Accountant with good property knowledge or surveyor and good financial knowledge
  • Excellent financial modelling and excel skills
  • Ability to communicate internally and externally to senior stakeholders both verbally and through PowerPoint presentations
  • Ability to think creatively to overcome issues and develop solutions
  • Strong organisational skills
