Job description

Investigo are currently working with a FTSE listed business who are looking to recruit a finance business partner with a focus on corporate functions.

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in Finance business partnering to hit the ground running.


The role will entail:

  • Reporting: Full ownership and accountability of the reporting, preparation and analysis of operating costs and other fixed costs from closing month end accounts to holding reviews with senior stakeholders. Candidate will be responsible for building of presentations for stakeholders and for the Group.
  • Planning: Candidate will work with the functional teams to build annual and monthly financial plans at a Cost centre level.
  • Financial control: You will provide oversight on spend as a key member of the financial approval processes. You will maintain good relations with stakeholders and ensure that spend is correctly forecast and challenge them where required.
  • Business partnering: You will be the go-to person on anything Finance related for the functions. As a key contact between the business and the finance team, you'll spend significant time building relationships with Functional leads, providing support, identifying new ways to communicate performance and manage all of the operating costs.
  • Process improvement: You will improve reporting processes and be able to navigate through ambiguity. You need to have the vision of what good looks like and be able to get stuck in and make quick changes


Job description:

  • Take full ownership of functional costs (that is assigned to you), understand it fully and close month end by posting journals yourself, or where relevant advising offshore team to post the journals.
  • Prepare slides for month end review pack for the CFO and CEO and a separate month end performance pack for functional leads
  • Work closely with relevant BPs across the business to ensure that your month end numbers are correct, including correct reporting of savings arising from Synergies or transformation
  • Keep close track of all saving initiatives within Function
  • Develop associated reporting within the function to support functional heads
  • Identify and drive cost saving initiatives across the group effectively challenging functional heads on their spend
  • Work with other Finance Directors to understand and track savings made through the integration and transformation projects
  • Responsible for ensuring data integrity, control and governance
  • Develop strategic relationships with key business stakeholders
  • Annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
  • Effectively challenge Functional leads on identified target savings, ensuring that each target is deliverable and trackable through the P&L
  • Other ad hoc projects, with a particular focus on standardisation of processes and automation

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • High proficiency in Excel and power point
  • SAP user
