Job description

This is predominantly a business partnering role acting as a key support to the operations teams for half of the UK estate, working with stakeholders at all levels of the business to improve current performance and deliver great results.

This role also involves budgeting and planning, ensuring that restaurants have robust budgets in place to motivate performance and ensure maximum profitability without impacting standards.

As a finance lead on key operational projects, this role has the ability to identify savings opportunities and impact change.

The role of Finance Business Partner:

  • Key point of contact to the Senior Operations Team for reporting and engaged in regional discussions to influence business decisions.
  • Responsible for reducing Operational costs and driving sales through creating/developing a number of initiatives, drawing on prior experience and making use of large amounts of data and working with Operations, suppliers and systems to realise these opportunities.
  • Work with other departments to ensure Operational needs are fulfilled.
  • Continually developing and improving on the reporting required to maximise business insight and performance, working with Operations to identify ways of working and reflecting this in the reporting suite.
  • Commentary and insight to be shared at Regional and Area level to help drive individual restaurant/area performance.
  • Ownership of the bonus model for Restaurants and Operations, understanding the economics of the scheme during the planning cycle, calculating bonus payments in-year, and monitoring how the scheme is performing to identify any potential financial risks or opportunities
  • Ownership of key parts of the budget cycle, as well as ensuring that Operations buy in to and understand all elements of their budget - working with other areas of finance to understand the budget drivers in order to translate this for the Operations team

To be successfully shortlisted for this role:

  • You must have 12 months experience within the a consumer goods, leisure, hospitality or retail business
  • You must be have 1 year post qualified experience
  • You must have managed senior stakeholders across finance and other sectors across the business.
