Job description
Investigo Finance are recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a Supply Chain/ Logistics business based in Northampton.
In the position of Finance Business Partner Northampton you will report to the Finance Manager supporting all financial controls around performance in relation to warehouse/ transportable costs for the retail distribution team. Other key duties to include:
- Financial control & reporting - responsibility for completion of management accounts (P&L and balance sheet, including calculation of accruals and prepayments) and provision of management information including insightful commentary on variances to target and prior year
- Supply of Bridges/Commentary at month end and for forecast & budgets
- Balance Sheet controls and reconciliations.
- Finance business partnering of senior operational stakeholders - providing quality understanding, support & challenge
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of key metric and statistic tracking, and impact on financial performance
- Financial and performance analysis of the operations on an ongoing basis
- Recharge of operational cost base to business units
- Budgeting and quarterly reforecasting - ownership of end to end process for business unit
- Weekly forecasting - completion of forecast for the business units, and maintenance of clear link to monthly results
- Risk and opportunities tracking. Proactively looking forward identifying and managing financial risks and opportunities.
- To assist with any ad hoc analysis and project work as required
- Understanding of the warehouse stock processes and any related stock adjustments
The Profile
The successful candidate will need to be studying towards a professional accountancy qualification either CIMA/ACCA
Articulate and able to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders
Demonstrates responsibility and ownership, able to prioritise own workload, working to strict deadlines
Supply Chain or 3rd Party Logistics experience an advantage
Salary
£35,000 to £40,000 plus full study support, company bonus scheme and wider benefits
