Job description

Investigo are recruiting a 6-month Finance Manager position with a Multinational Real Estate business, based in central London. They are looking for a qualified finance professional who can make an impact in a fast-paced environment.

The day rate on offer stretches from £350-£400 per day, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management reports and analysis including Planning Budgeting Forecasting, Business Unit Reporting, Commercial Assessments and operational reports, ensuring reconciliation and accurate variance analysis
  • Identify and analyse any material exceptions to forecast and plan against actuals, and prepare corresponding commentary
  • Prepare economic and sales forecasts and period adjustments, collating and analysing information
  • Conduct research pertaining to the application of appropriate data and processing methods and analysis, recording and reporting of financial information to support informed decision making
  • Manage data quality and integrity of monthly management reports including Planning Budgeting Forecasting, Business Unit Reporting, Commercial Assessments and operational reports
  • Support data quality and integrity of output for monthly financial statements and reports
  • Ensure applicable management accounting and financial accounting documentation, and supporting procedures exist and are up to date
  • Contribute to financial transactions and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results to ensure compliance with approved accounting standards
  • Identify and analyse any material exceptions to forecast and plan against actuals, and prepare corresponding commentary
  • Preparation of external reporting to ensure consistency, accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting to achieve regulatory and business outcomes
  • Drive and ensure compliance to Financial Accounting and Reporting policies, procedures and contractual commitments under financing and proactively identify and raise non-compliant issues with the indirect report
  • Ensure applicable Financial Accounting and Reporting documentation and supporting procedures exist and are up to date

Role requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) with minimum 1-4 years PQE;
  • Experience in an accounting role, and/or sound commercial acumen and understanding of general and transactional accounting, cost accounting and reporting.
  • Experience in real estate is highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to partner effectively with other business units in driving improvements to operational finance processes
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and hard-working and will have a positive approach to challenges, thinking creatively to solve problems
  • Strong analytical and IT skills, including advanced Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail whilst maintaining the ability to see the big picture
