Job description

This housing company are looking for a hands on finance manager to come in as soon as possible on either a temp to perm or permanent basis to oversee the finance function on a day to day basis. They are a small company who predominantly work around the london area and are based in offices near Reading. They are looking for someone capable of the following responsibilities:

Management and Reporting

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet recs
  • Preparation and review of financial forecasts
  • Budgeting
  • Preparation of statutory year end accounts.
  • Recording and making improvements to financial processes.
  • Preparation of annual value for money report.
  • Ad-hoc analysis

Day to day bookkeeping

  • Maintaining financial records including:
    • Individual tenant rent and service charge accounts
    • Accounts payable ledger
    • Profit and Loss accounts.
    • Balance sheet
  • Checking purchase invoices
  • Monitoring cash-flow
  • Reconciling housing benefit payments made on behalf of tenants
  • Preparation and submitting of payments for processing or authorisation using online banking.
