Opportunity as Finance Manager within a Mortgage and Loan business based in Hertfordshire (easy commute from London) offering hybrid working.

Whilst reporting into the Financial Director you will be responsible for a small team overseeing most elements of Accounting making this a broad role giving great variety and exposure to the senior management team.

The business has a reputation for being an inclusive and friendly environment with a sensible work life balance with a very low staff turn over and the role has arisen to an internal promotion.

You and your Team will oversee the finance function with the support of the Financial Director and this represents an opportunity to develop, learn and gain the skills to become a Financial Controller or Finance Director

Day to day duties and responsibilities include:

Management and development of a small team (great opportunity for someone looking to gain management exposure)

Monthly Management Reporting, ownership of the budgeting cycle, Forecasting, preparation of Statutory Accounts under FRS102 (not complex)

Approval of Finance returns, producing information for the board, improving systems and processes, playing a role in maintaining the values and culture of the business, ad-hoc analysis

This is not a complex business but an understanding of Banking especially around Mortgages, personal Loans and deferred income would be desirable

This represents an opportunity for a qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA looking to step up into a Finance Manager role offering exceptional development.
