Finance Manager

Investigo are working directly with a Private School situated in an amazing location by the River Thames.

Key Responsibilities

• Management of the finance operation and overlooking the finance team
• Responsible of the preparation for budgets, forecasts and cash flows
• On going control of budgets with production of periodic reports to budget holders during financial year
• Month end general ledger reconciliations and maintenance of financial ledgers accounting processes
• Preparation of monthly management reports including consolidated P&L and balance sheet and detailed analytically commentary on the same, demonstrating a details business understanding
• Process monthly payroll, administration of the group pension scheme
• Statutory and internal financial reports, together with audit schedules
• Effective control of cash by working capital management and accurate, timely forecasting
• Experience in managing various aspects including Accountants Receivable, raising of billing, managing direct debits/school fee plan, banking cheques/cash and liaising with parents directly on outstanding debts
• Managing all aspects of the Accounts Payable process, including authorisation of invoices prior to payment, management of payment cycles and control of monthly payment runs
• Importing of invoices and posting of journals into Sage 200

Key Skills and Personal Qualities

• Relevant accountancy qualifications
• Work experience in a senior finance role
• Excellent communication and administrative skills
• Previous work experience in the education sector is desirable
• Experience in managing and leading a team
• Resilient and able to manage and prioritise work load
• Self-starter with a high level of time management and planning skills
