Investigo are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a Milton Keynes based business services Client who are looking to recruit a Finance Manager, on a permanent basis.


The role of Finance Manager has come about as a result of internal promotion, and the main objectives of this role are to effectively work with the business to prepare all of management and statutory information for the Group and subsidiary companies, together with ownership of the regulatory reporting required of the business (Solvency II, FCA & PRA submissions).

They will be responsible and accountable for the following duties:

  • Production of IFRS Group statutory accounts (full-year and half-year) and various subsidiary accounts under FRS101
  • Preparation and submission of Group and Company regulatory returns which includes but is not limited to Solvency II, IPT, VAT, and Quarterly Gabriels
  • Preparation of annual tax returns supporting the company's tax advisors
  • Preparation of the Group's consolidated and individual monthly management accounts.
  • Liaison with the various business areas to resolve P&L queries and to ensure the Finance department is properly supporting the needs of the operating businesses.
  • Co-ordination of the balance sheet reconciliation process.
  • Ongoing assessment of adequacy of Group's claims provisions
  • Coach and develop members of the Finance team.
  • Be a point of contact for finance to the wider business
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, FCA principles, "Treating Customers Fairly" (TCF) & other relevant legislative requirements


The successful Candidate will be an ACA or ACCA Qualified individual with 2-3 years PQE, and a strong technical accounting background. They are likely to have trained in Practice, and be looking to further their career in either their first or second industry role. Candidates will require a hands-on approach to work, and be prepared to "roll up their sleeves" and help out the team where necessary. Whilst there is no initial people management responsibility this is likely to change in the future, so any previous management experience would be ideal. Strong IT skills are required, including Intermediate level Excel, and any experience with Sage would be advantageous.
