Despite us all working in these unprecedented times, I have just been briefed on a new role with a steady business which has performed well in these times. This is a business-critical hire as it enable the Financial Controller to provide more detailed analysis for the business.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys variation, a challenging month end process and enjoys improving processes and procedures.

Key Duties

• Line manage of a finance assistant, offering support, training and guidance
• Complete the month end process, including all balance sheet reconciliations
• Calculation and adjustment of accruals, prepayments, deferred and accrued income
• Management of the full accounts receivable cycle
• Management of the full accounts payable, i.e. ordering to invoicing to receipt
• Manage data links between purchase order system and accounts system
• Management of supplier contracts and relationships
• Maintain supplier contract repository, ensuring invoicing is in line with the agreement
• Management of bank transactions and credit card reconciliations
• Management of the fixed asset register and monthly depreciation charges
• Assisting the Group Financial Controller with ad hoc tasks, as required
• Working closely with the Group Financial Controller on finance and efficiency improvements projects
• Work alongside the Payroll Manager and provide support at times of need
