Finance Manager- Financial Control

My client, a top tier global Financial Services institution is looking to expand its Finance team by adding a Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounting accruals, balance sheet substantiation, prep of stat accounts and deputising for the Senior Finance Manager when appropriate. This is a permanent opportunity based in the City of London with a basic salary of £70K and an excellent benefits and bonus scheme.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the monthly close process for all entities, including LCH Group Limited, LCH Limited and SwapAgent Ltd
• Oversee the monthly accruals and prepayments
• Provide support to the Financial Control team as required in respect of other general ledger postings and reconciliations
• Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations and substantiation
• Review and oversee work completed by our offshore team
• Complete HFM validations
• Support the ongoing development and application of the departmental procedures manual
• Preparation of the statutory accounts
• Adhoc projects: support for current ongoing system project work and new strategic project initiatives

Experience and skills

• Be a qualified accountant with solid relevant experience
• Ability to work dynamically and efficiently to meet strict deadlines
• Understanding of monthly reconciliation processes and ledger systems
• Strong level of Excel and Word use
• Solid understanding of core accounting principles and systems
• Sound judgment, good organisational skills, with strong personal and professional integrity
