Investigo are delighted to be supporting a World Renowned Milton Keynes based Client with their recruitment of a Finance Manager - IT & eCommerce.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Finance Manager will own all financial aspects relating to our IT and eCommerce activities.


The Digital space is a key area of the business where over 85% of orders are received through the eCommerce platform or mobile app. It is a priority area of investment representing the biggest area of spend within the business. As well as being the key medium for ordering it is a critical part of the customer journey and brand perception which will ultimately grow and protect the brand.


This role will be a business partner to the IT, Digital and eCommerce teams providing business support as well as financial control of the area that is heavily Franchisee and customer centric. This includes the ownership and production of timely and accurate financial information, supported with analysis that allows the business to make better investment decisions. This is a broad role that covers both business partnering and strong financial control.


Responsibilities include

  • Full ownership of the IT P&L, eCommerce fund, balance sheet, cash flow and all other aspects of financial management.
  • Key business partner to the IT, Digital and eCommerce functions. Support and challenge these areas regarding investment and spend decisions both in the short term and longer-term planning.
  • Manage any risks and opportunities and budgetary issues to ensure management of the monies within the fund incomes, ensuring investment spend is effective and efficient.
  • Participate in periodic reviews with the Franchisees at the appropriate forums.
  • Manage the annual budget & five-year plan process for IT to deliver a robust financial plan in line with brand objectives.
  • Delivery of insightful monthly management reports for all business levels ensuring accurate and timely periodic reporting to budget, forecast etc. along with a full understanding of the performance. Full assessment of all risks and opportunities to be undertaken with the relevant budget holders each period.
  • Manage and review all aspects of the management accounts processes for the IT function and the eCommerce fund to ensure a robust and clean close each month in line with the reporting timetable.
  • Ensure the controls and processes are appropriate and in line with the ERP / systems workflows and balance sheet reconciliations are completed each period.


The successful Candidate will be a Professionally Qualified individual with 3-5 years PQE, and a broad mix of commercial and technical accounting experience. They will possess proven ability to partner senior stakeholders within the business, and the skills to challenge existing processes.
This role is a genuine hybrid role, where c60% will be business facing/commercial and c40% will be technical accounting.


Our Client is offering a salary of £55,000 to £60,000 + Bonus + Benefits.
