Job description

Investigo are partnering a global business services company in Surrey to recruit a Finance Systems Manager - TM1.

A senior member of the finance management team whose primary function is to ensure that the Finance function can deliver high quality management information to the business and to the Group with respect to actuals, Plans & Forecasts in the most automated route leveraging the multiple systems landscape. Work with the larger finance team to help simply and automate a number of processes.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Management of 3 direct reports
  • Responsible for delivery of agreed systems upgrades and process simplifications
  • Designing and building low to medium complexity systems enhancements directly to address additional agreed information requested from business and ensuring the strategy is aligned and fully supported by local and Group IS as appropriate
  • Continuously exploring and ensuring the usage and deployment of most advanced and user friendly front-end for all system generated reports which provides users a unique experience and ease of accessing information.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely and complete maintenance within and between the Finance operating systems for any changes to master data and hierarchies
  • Accountable for ensuring users are fully trained and hence empowered to maximise the benefit from the systems as they are developed (both in project change management plans and in ongoing user skills development)

Experience needed

  • Comprehensive knowledge of using financial planning and reporting systems is a must (TM1 or similar knowledge preferable); this includes previous experience of maintaining and developing algorithms / rules and with developing systems standards and embedding them in work processes
  • Experience of SAP R/3 and BW would be preferred but not essential
  • Superior time and project management skills (in a financial systems environment) are essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively with both technical and less-technical audiences of all levels of a multi-national organisation, and with external specialist contractors
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
