Job description

We are currently partnering with an International Consumer Business based in London who are looking for a highly driven and energetic Financial Analyst to join their thriving finance team.

Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance, you will play an instrumental part in shaping the way this unique business's ecommerce platform is driven forward.

Supporting the Head of Finance and CFO with:

  • Financial modelling
  • P&L budgeting and forecasting
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Ad hoc commercial analysis
  • Being the ERP system super-user for the business

Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts with full responsibility for:

  • Fixed asset register and depreciation calculations
  • Accrual and prepayment journals
  • Deferred income and revenue recognition analysis
  • Control account reconciliations
  • General journal posting
  • Checking ledger entries
  • Generating P&L and Balance Sheet reports
  • Weekly Sales Reporting
  • Monthly MI packs

Skills and Attributes:

Essential:

  • At least 2 years' preparing management accounts within a fast-changing multi-channel retailer.
  • Prior experience working in a medium sized growing business.
  • Systems and process implementation would be useful.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication and listening skills
  • Problem solving, a desire to seek continual improvements and the ability to communicate to non-finance staff throughout the business are all required.
  • Advanced Excel skills - you should know your Pivot tables and VLookups!
  • The ability to work independently and show initiative
  • The ability to take responsibility and be accountable for your actions
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence and common sense
  • Excellent motivation and people management skills
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and passion for the brand
  • A great team player with the ability to promote and help build a positive work environment

Desirable:

  • Use of ERP systems is highly desirable
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Jet Reports or similar reporting package would be beneficial.
