Job description

A fantastic opportunity has come up within a global market leader and one of the UK's largest Operator in its sector. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the candidate will have a wide remit

Responsibilities:

This role includes but is not limited to:

  • Ownership of P&L and balance sheet, including reconciliations for all entities
  • Responsibility for the financial integrity of the accounting data and accuracy of reporting
  • Overseeing and owning responsibility for the weekly and month end reporting process.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reporting information to the Finance Director
  • Identify issues impacting delivery of forecast, across all areas of P&L, and work with the business on mitigation plans
  • Design and implement appropriate controls
  • Work closely with Group Finance to ensure consistency in approach adherence to Group practices, and supporting Group financial governance
  • Work with the Senior Business Partners to support budgeting and forecasts, setting appropriate KPIs and develop reporting where required
  • Mentor and work closely with the Finance Business Partner to support development and improve month end analysis
  • Develop strong relationships with budget holders, providing strategic counsel and support to the Directors
  • Drive continuous improvements to all Finance processes with the aim of enhancing quality or reducing delivery time to internal or external stakeholders

Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with over 3 years of post-qualification experience and a strong track record of delivering to timescales
  • A desire for continuous improvement around data quality and insightful analysis to ensure real value-add to the business.
  • Experience in similar roles
  • The ability to confidently engage and influence stakeholders across the organisation, including senior stakeholders
  • The ability to communicate financial information effectively, adding value to budget holder's strategy.
