Financial Controller

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will oversee the financial reporting and controls of the company, and will ensure the efficient performance of Payroll, Accounts Payable and Company statutory reporting.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Produce monthly and annual accounts
• Ensure Cash Flow, Balance sheet and P&L month end reports are produced on time and to a high degree of accuracy
• Produce weekly short term Cash Flow forecast
• Manage cash flow by understanding transactions and approving supplier payments
• Manage Aged debt and run monthly debt meetings with operations
• Generate Financial reports required for Board meetings
• Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants
• Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback
• Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
• Collaborate with auditing teams to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
• Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
• Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
• Assist the FD in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.

It is essential that you are qualified accountant with previous experience of managing a small team.
