Job description

Divisional Financial Controller required for a rapidly growing business unit of a prestigious company. The role will manage a finance team of c 15 individuals and ensure strong control of the financial reporting and business as usual requirements whilst being involved with a number of new initiatives and projects.

Deliver regular, high quality, appropriate Financial Management Information

  • Review and sign off the monthly trading numbers, challenging under performance and variances to forecast
  • Review and sign off the 12 month rolling forecast, ensuring accuracy of results and deliverance to month end deadlines
  • Understand the commercials underpinning many of the client contracts e.g. volume discounts, service credits, billing structures

Finance Business partner

  • Attend / organise regular financial review meetings, understanding key performance drivers, commercial agreements and external influencing factors
  • Communicate regular Finance updates to the business
  • Business partner senior stakeholders across a variety of functions in order to provide financial rigour, challenge business performance and enforce controls.

Oversee a financial control team of 16 providing the business with AP, AR, Management Accounting and Financial Reporting support

  • Ensure all deadlines are met and that managers are fully aware of what they need to deliver
  • Ensure the appropriate governance and controls are adhered to within the team and wider business

The successful candidate will possess strong management experience in regards to both people and processes and be experienced in overseeing and producing high quality financial MI in conjunction with an SSC environment. The role will require a fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) and previous knowledge of IFRS 15 would be advantageous.
