Financial Controller / FD Designate

Exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a high growth PE backed business within the sales and distribution sector based in Croxley Green near Watford.

Whilst reporting to and working closely with the Financial Director and managing a team of 5 you will be responsible for the day to day oversight of the finance function as well as getting involved with other initiatives such as investment appraisal and acquisitions.

This role is designed with succession planning in mind and it is very well suited to a fast track practice trained candidate with some exposure to management and equally well suited to an accomplished FC with the gravitas and experience to operate with the board.

Your day to day duties and responsibilities include;

Oversight and management of all Management and Financial reporting including Statutory responsibilities, VAT, Management Accounting, assisting with the budgeting and forecasting cycles and all transactional accounting including Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable, payroll and Credit Control and some admin duties around HR.

You will also be involved in numerous projects around process and systems improvements, Investment appraisal, acquisitions etc.
