Job description

The role is part of the COO team, specifically allocated to 1st LOD Financial Crime reporting to the Head of FC Governance, Controls & Analytics. Working in conjunction with the wider Team to ensure Financial Crime (Client and Transactional) data requirements are obtained and managed to meet both internal and external obligations while supporting the local and global teams to implement a number of changes across the control framework, training and culture.

  • Manage the client database to ensure required reports and controls can be effectively run on a regular and ad hoc basis
  • Liaise with the global teams to support the development of the strategic solution
  • Assess the quality of data, ensuring it is applicable to client base and business
  • Design future IT releases to help manage and meet additional requirements
  • Execute and lead the development and embedding of FC Line 1 controls, including, procedures, systems, and user manuals
  • Ensure that team performance and controls are effectively designed and executed in accordance with the firm's objectives and overall strategy.
  • Support, design and development of accurate, frequent and comprehensive periodic and ad hoc MI
  • Support in the definition of the MI Framework in collaboration with local and global teams
  • Support the Head of Governance, Control and Analytics in reporting requirements
  • Lead on project facilitation, tracking and reporting
  • Assist on Financial Crime Compliance assurance reviews and internal audit recommendations providing timely and high-quality responses
  • Provide training and support to junior team members
  • Understand the current Financial Crime processes and start to gather relevant MI to demonstrate additional control or issue management
  • Manage FC risks to mitigate any potential fines or customer complaints
  • Lead by example and proactively identify, assess, manages and reports risks
