Financial Reporting Manager - FinTech - London - £70,000 - £80,000
An exciting and successful FinTech organisation, who has received significant levels of funding and investment, is currently hiring for a Financial Reporting Manager as part of their London head office function.
You will play a key role in all technical accounting processes for the business, both as a hands-on accountant as well as a leader of the financial accounting team.
As the business continues to scale and evolve, you will manage a robust controls framework and ensure that a high level of quality comes from the accounting function in annual reporting, audit process and risk management.
Financial Reporting Manager - Key Responsibilities:
- Produce annual statutory accounts and manage the team responsible for producing.
- Understanding and application of both commercial and technical implications of IFRS.
- Work closely with external auditors, as the key point of contact in the audit process.
- Manage the delivery of annual reporting both to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide support to the wider financial controls function, review of balance sheet recs and analysis of company financial position.
- Continuously drive improvements and efficiencies in the financial reporting and controls functions.
- Production of technical accounting documentation with regards to any rules or regulation changes.
You will be ACA/ACCA qualified with a sound technical accounting knowledge gained in Audit. You will ideally have several years post-qualified experience working with a Bank / similar financial services institution with a knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations on financial services firms.
You may currently be working as a Financial Accountant or Assistant Financial Controller, looking for a role which will utilise your technical finance knowledge whilst also giving you a step up in terms of responsibility. Equally you may be working currently at AVP/VP level in a Bank and a controls & reporting focused role and looking to step into a smaller business who are on an exciting upwards growth curve.
A track record of delivering financial reporting under tight deadlines is key as well as the ability to improve processes and drive best practice.
