Job description

A pivotal role within a market leading customer foccused business in Watford are looking to appoint a newly qualified FP&A Analyst, delivering business partnering across the business, working in challenging and fast paced environment, providing support, analysis and insight to the stakeholders.

Job outline

To support and enhance the FP&A function, responsible for delivering monthly performance analysis & insight, supporting the annual budget & reforecasting cycle, and the longer term strategic plan. Responsible for delivering commercial financial analysis to the business, driving quality insight to inform decision making.

Key responsibilities

  • Delivering commercial analysis, providing insight into key business drivers and strategic projects
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining an annual budgeting & reforecasting model which aligns to the business priorities and KPIs
  • Manage delivery of high quality Board presentations in relation to monthly results, budgets and strategic projects
  • Develop understanding and analysis of the profitability of the differing streams of business in order to drive the strategy of the business. Analyse sales mix across all income streams, understand pricing and margin levers, highlighting key trends and opportunities
  • Working alongside the Head of FP&A to deliver requirements to the investors
  • Act as business partner to functions and stakeholders across the business

  • Commercial understanding and analysis capabilities to understand the market and business profit drivers and making sound recommendations
  • Strong communication skills, presenting information clearly and simply, with great attention to detail
  • High levels of drive and resilience, and ability to work under pressure
  • Problem solving, able to identify and analyse relevant information and evaluate the issues in complex situations
  • Teamwork, across the finance function, supporting other areas with key deliverables

Qualifications & experience

  • Experience of presentation and articulation of analysis, supported by strong excel modelling skills
  • Highly motivated self-starting individual with experience of working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
