Group Accountant - Scope for European Business Travel

We are sourcing a technically astute ACA or ACCA to join a successful listed business in Newbury at an exciting time of growth.

The role of Group Accountant will focus on the integration of newly acquired overseas entities. You will act as the main point of contact for the countries finance teams and will support the overseas businesses with compiling and maintaining month end reporting, forecasting and budgeting. You will review and update processes to ensure they meet Group requirements and will perform internal audit reviews of subsidiary companies.

Other duties will include supporting the Group with the preparation of the Group's consolidated statutory accounts, consolidation of the Group management accounts and supporting with the preparation of the annual report. You will take an active interest in researching and helping to implement accounting standard changes and the application of current standards as applicable.

The opportunity would suit a technically astute ACA or ACCA who has experience of working in or with multinational companies, and experience of plc environments. You should have a solid knowledge of IFRS and an interest in researching and interpreting overseas GAAP as required. Experience of a second European language would be useful but is not essential.
