GROUP FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

This is a role for a recently qualified accountant to join the Group Finance team, reporting to the Group Reporting Manager. You will be responsible for contributing to the preparation of the Group's consolidated accounts, with significant involvement in financial analysis of the Group's results and reviewing the Group's subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing regular internal and external reports within the group finance team.
  • Preparation of the monthly group reporting pack under IFRS, providing analysis of financial information
  • Assist and contribute towards the preparation of Group Balance Sheet review presentations to the CFO.
  • Prepare working papers and ensure matters such as key judgements/issues are appropriate and reported upon where necessary.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation tasks in the Group's reconciliation tool and journal postings.
  • Assist with preparation of year end Group consolidated accounts, liaising with auditors as required.
  • Be active in the Group's accounting systems (NetSuite/Controller), using reports and ensuring the books and records are complete and accurate.
  • Involvement in the reconciliation process between Management Accounts and IFRS account to ensure accuracy of reporting.
  • Work closely with the Shared Service Centre and develop workings between Group Finance and the SSS.
  • Liaison with regional finance managers to resolve issues including supporting the preparation of local statutory accounts.
  • Accounting systems and processes improvement.
  • Involvement in acquisitions and other ad-hoc.
  • Working with internal stake holders such as Tax and Company Secretarial on financial reporting matters.

As the ideal candidate you will have the following:

  • Recently Qualified Accountant (ACA).
  • Previous Audit experience.
  • Good communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to thrive in a past paced environment.
  • Well organised, detail oriented with ability to work under pressure; meet deadlines whilst managing multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Initiative to implement best practice.
  • Good analytical skills with a high level of accuracy.
