Group Management Accountant
up to £50k + 20% bonus
Hybrid Working
North London

I am currently recruiting for a Group Management Accountant role for an established and growing Restaurant Group. This is truly a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to gain more exposure to the commercial aspects of finance. To ensure timely and accurate delivery of cost information to the business in conjunction with the finance accounting calendar. Clear understanding of drivers behind cost performance & commission process across the business.

Scope of the Role:

* Ultimate responsibility for all variable, fixed & revenue commission costs across the Group
* Ownership of budgeting & forecasting process
* Generating insights into cost performance & work with the wider Group team to deliver cost savings
* External delivery posting & reconciliation
* Developing a team of high performing individuals which demonstrate the capability to progress within the Group
* Responsible for the accounting entries relating to gift cards and commissions
* Liaise with the external suppliers/ third party
* Balance sheet preparation and review
* Providing key support for all members of the management and finance team
* Ad hoc projects

Key Accountabilities:

* Management of two junior accountants to produce period end accounts for fixed & variable costs
* Production of the Group Management accounts
* Period end journals including accruals & prepayments
* Review monthly P&L's and provide insight to senior management
* Responsibility for all third party commissions (Deliveroo, City Pantry, Click & collect)
* Forming a forward view & Scenario planning that can be integrated into the brands rolling projections.
* Responsible for the preparation of owned balance sheet reconciliations and the collation and filling of all the reconciliations
* Drive efficiencies & cost savings where possible
* Review of the teams periodic balance sheets & update senior management where appropriate
* Support year end audit process
* Accrue for sales received in the period and associated commission charges (if applicable)
* Post breakages relating to gift cards.
* Analysis of Group Initiatives

Experience, Skills & behaviours:

* Qualified or Part qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA/ACA
* Team player
* The candidate should be a self-starter, who is willing and able to take initiative
* Strong communication skills, with a willingness to liaise with different department (e.g. cash control, cashbook) across the business
* Advanced excel skills
* High attention to details
* Good analytical skills
* Organised with ability to work to strict deadlines
