Job description

Our client is a London based rapidly growing tour operator that currently are seeking to appoint a Head of Business Change with experience of working on large scale transformation projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Change leader to join and help shape out a new Business Change Function for the organisation. The jobholder will report into the Business Change Programme Director and will lead the overall programme management activities for the UK&I Change programmes and projects to ensure successful delivery of the change agenda through best practise, quality assurance and driving control within the change methodologies and framework.

The Business Change Function operates as an internal consultancy, shaping and delivering the strategic portfolio for the UK & Ireland business across the company's different operating brands.

As the HO Business Change, you will deliver on the following:

  • Support the translation of the 3-5 year strategic objectives into a roadmap for the UK & Ireland delivery programme
  • Lead the establishment and sustainability of a programme governance framework to ensure that all investments in change activity are agreed with the appropriate people/forums and that the delivery programme remains aligned with the strategic objectives and ambitions of the business
  • Lead the implementation of suitable change methodologies and drive 'best practise, and adoption across the business change and broader programme teams
  • Ownership and full understanding of in-programme and cross-programme dependencies and work with the programme managers to minimise the risk of these causing delays
  • Accountable for the ongoing management of the resourcing pipeline and staffing process for internal, external and contract/consultant recruitment and deployment
  • Working collaboratively with Finance to ensure there is independent and transparent allocation and reporting of business investment, spend and benefits realisation
  • Effectively report and communicate progress in delivering the programmes of change to internal stakeholders
  • Develop high performing teams, with strong knowledge management, who work in collaboration with the business to effectively realise its strategic ambitions

To be successful in the role you will have the following experience:

  • Similar experience (Portfolio, Programme & Project Management) gained within a major FTSE 250 organisation or comparable organisation, or has experience of delivering the requirements of this role across multiple clients as a member of a top tier professional services (consulting) firm.
  • Ideally a background of working within a fast-paced, consumer focused organisation.
  • Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or Prince2 or Project Management Professional (PMP) Qualification - desirable
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Excellent Stakeholder management & networking skills, across multiple functions, business units, external stakeholders
