Head of Group Finance

Investigo Executive are currently partnering exclusively with an instantly recognisable retailer to recruit for a Head of Group Finance, on an interim to permanent basis. This role will see the successful candidate provide leadership to the financial accounting, tax, treasury, systems and transactional functions across the organisation. The Head of Group Finance will be responsible for leading the month and year end close, whilst also ensuring robust financial controls and processes are established across the group. This role is being recruited on an interim to permanent basis and will require the successful candidate to start at short notice.

Role

• Lead and develop a team of 15 +
• Oversee the monthly/year end reporting processes and ensure accurate and timely production of management and statutory accounts
• Ensure ongoing compliance with UK GAAP
• Lead on all Group tax matters, including managing relationship with HMRC and tax planning for UK or international growth or change programmes
• Lead the day to day control of cash and working capital management
• Make recommendations regarding cash management and FX related matters and ensure that previously agreed policies are adhered to.
• Ensure effective credit management and cash collection procedures in place
• Ensure activities completed are fully compliant with company policies and legal requirements
• Continuous improvement of Financial Accounting and Control processes to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness
• Lead finance system development projects to improve efficiency and support new business initiatives
• Support CFO in business transformation work

Your Profile

• Qualified Accountant with 7 Years + PQE (ACA ideally)
• Retail experience desired
• Good understanding of international tax.

Salary

£120,000 + benefits (DOE)
